Liverpool have reportedly sent as many as five inquiries for different midfielders since confirming the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai.
According to journalist Dean Jones, the Reds are keen to add a third midfielder to their ranks this summer having landed Szoboszlai in a £60m deal and Alexis Mac Allister in June from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Liverpool looking to spend big again.
As a result, Liverpool have now made as many as five inquiries for targets, with the Anfield side being linked to the likes of Romeo Lavia, Ryan Gravenberch and Khephren Thuram, all of which could cost Jurgen Klopp’s side as much as £50m.

However, whilst moves are seemingly taking place behind the scenes to sign another midfielder, Liverpool might have to first sell some players if they’re to move for a Lavia or a Thuram, with the homegrown quota another issue the Reds have to solve.
Indeed, funds will have to be raised before Liverpool start placing more bids for midfielders in the coming weeks. Yet this update is, without doubt, a positive one, with the Reds once again starting to put in the groundwork early on a potential signing.
Liverpool’s midfielder search could soon come to an end

Liverpool are aware that one more midfield signing should be enough to set them up perfectly for the new season, and putting in feelers now for potential targets is a big step in the right direction for the Reds in completing their summer mission.
As we know, Liverpool wanted to overhaul their midfield this window, something the Anfield side have done in signing Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, yet for many fans, one more arrival should seal the deal in transforming this area of the pitch for many years to come.
