Liverpool are reportedly yet to reach an agreement with Romeo Lavia over salary conditions, with Jurgen Klopp eager to bring the midfielder to Anfield.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the German manager is keen to sign the Southampton prospect as Liverpool’s third and final midfield recruit of the summer. However, the Reds are yet to reach an agreement with Lavia over his wages.
Southampton want £50m for the 19-year-old midfielder, and there’s an expectation that Lavia will want a huge pay rise if the youngster is to make a move to a top-six Premier League side, something Liverpool want to negotiate in the coming weeks.
With the Reds already reluctant to match Southampton’s demands for Lavia, Liverpool could now face another battle in the form of agreeing on a salary for the midfielder, with this latest update something many supporters would not want to hear.
Klopp will be furious if Liverpool can’t agree Lavia deal

Liverpool’s bid to sign Lavia is taking much longer than anybody would have anticipated, and this latest update could shed some light on why the Reds are yet to close a deal. With the Merseyside giants missing out on the midfielder something that won’t fly well with Klopp.
As we know, the Liverpool boss is a huge fan of Lavia, and with talks now seemingly stalling over the player’s salary, the Anfield figurehead will have every right to be furious if a deal is unable to be completed, especially with how much Klopp wants the Belgian.
