Liverpool youngster Layton Stewart is reportedly the subject of loan interest this summer, with the striker expected to head out from Merseyside for next season.
According to journalist Neil Jones, there is ‘interest there’ in the 20-year-old attacker as Stewart prepares to make his first steps into the professional game, with the forward one of the most promising striking talents to come out of Liverpool in some time.
The Liverpool-born youngster made his debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season in the League Cup, though this sole appearance is the only taste of the senior game Stewart has ever experienced, meaning that a loan deal would make sense for the attacker this summer.

With 45 goals in 63 youth appearances for Liverpool since 2019, a loan move to an EFL side could be perfect for Stewart, who is at a stage in his career where the striker should be playing regular football at a senior level.
Indeed, Liverpool are expected to maximise their potential in the loan market this summer, and for Stewart, a productive move next season could be the difference maker in the 20-year-old breaking into Klopp’s first-team plans for the 2024/25 campaign.
Stewart has to leave Liverpool on loan to save his future at the club

Goals at youth level can only get you so far at Liverpool. And in the case for Stewart, heading out on loan to get a real crack at the senior game will be huge in the Merseyside-born forward one day becoming a full-time member of his boyhood club.
As we know, Liverpool are ready to send a number of high-profile youngsters out on loan this summer. And with Stewart’s name now being touted around, it won’t take long for the forward to be sent out on a temporary basis to one of the many clubs interested in signing the 20-year-old.
