Real Madrid have reportedly made their opening offer to sign Arda Guler, with Liverpool also rumored to be interested in the Fenerbahce wonderkid.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants have made their move to bring the Turkish international to Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side tabling a €20m (£17m) bid to beat the likes of Liverpool and FC Barcelona to Guler’s signature.
TeamTalk recently claimed that Liverpool had scouted Guler this year after a breakout season in Turkey with Fenerbahce, with the teenage winger now one of the most prized talents in Europe and a prospect who is tipped to go straight to the top.
Praised by Target Scouting as a player with ‘world-class’ potential, Guler could have been a dream signing for Liverpool this summer. However, Madrid now look poised to sign the 18-year-old, who could become the Spanish side’s latest superstar in the years to come.
Liverpool will be kicking themselves for losing Guler to Madrid

Liverpool were always going to face strong competition for Guler’s signature this summer, yet losing out to Madrid is always a bitter pill to swallow, especially with Los Blancos already beating the Reds to the blockbuster signing of Jude Bellingham earlier in the window.
Indeed, Guler could have been a dream fit for Liverpool and a perfect project-player for Klopp. Yet with Madrid now storming ahead in the race for the teenager, all the Anfield side can do now is move on from the Turkish sensation and focus on other targets in the market.
