Liverpool could reportedly allow Ben Doak to leave on loan this summer, with the Scottish youth international one of numerous youngsters tipped to leave Anfield for the season.
According to journalist Neil Jones, the 17-year-old winger is a player who is attracting loan interest, with Liverpool likely to ship the attacker away for the campaign to get the wonderkid his first real taste of professional football.
The teenager made five appearances for Liverpool last season having joined from Celtic in the previous summer, where the forward became one of the Hoops’ youngest-ever players after making an appearance off the bench in 2022 against Dundee United.
With Doak already getting a run out at senior level, a loan away from Liverpool makes a lot of sense for all parties, with the teenager more than ready to spent a year at a top-flight Scottish side or even down a level in the Championship.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has already hailed the teenager as a ‘special’ talent, and Doak could take a massive step in his development with a loan spell this season, where regular football at senior level could help unlock the Scotsman’s potential.
Liverpool have to work on sending Doak out on loan ASAP
Liverpool are aware of how good a talent they have in Doak, and sending the winger out on loan as soon as possible could be the best-case scenario for the youngster, who could explode onto the scene depending on which club is the lucky winner for the attacker’s signature.
As we know, Doak has impressed whenever given the chance at both Liverpool and Celtic. And a full year of professional football is exactly what the attacker needs to take his game to the next level, which could lead to becoming a regular for Klopp in 2024.
