Liverpool are reportedly interested in Birmingham City teenager Trevan Sanusi, who is also wanted by a host of Premier League sides.

According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on the 16-year-old talent, who is expected to become the next big thing from Birmingham’s academy having already established himself with England at youth level.

As per the report, Sanusi almost become Birmingham’s youngest-ever player, currently held by one Jude Bellingham, after being selected for the Blues’ matchday squad. However, the winger is yet to make his professional debut for the Championship side.

With Sanusi now set to leave St. Andrew’s this summer, Liverpool could now find themselves in a position to sign the attacker having missed out on Bellingham both this year and in 2020. And a deal could now be possible for the Reds.

Indeed, Liverpool have one of the best youth setups in all of England, and on Merseyside, Sanusi could hit his true potential whilst also learning under some of the best coaches the country has to offer, with first-team opportunities also a possibility in the years to come.

Liverpool are no strangers to signing youth players if they’re quality is significant enough to warrant a transfer, and Sanusi is no exception, especially with the attacker coming so close to breaking a record set by Bellingham, a player the Reds have chased for years.

As a result, signing Sanusi could be an impressive coup for the Anfield side this summer, especially with the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United also interested in landing the England youth international, who looks Premier League bound in the coming weeks.
