Mohamed Salah has reportedly been contacted by two clubs from Saudi Arabia, with the pair working out to see if Liverpool would sell their superstar winger.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal have made approaches for Salah as Saudi Arabia looks to bring the Egyptian international to the Saudi Pro League, with the forward viewed as the latest star recruit for the division this summer.
Salah has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as the Arab state continues to pump money into football, with Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Neves all making the move to the Middle East this summer, with more players expected to make the move.
With Muslim players being heavily targeted, it makes sense why Salah has become the prized signing for Saudi Arabia sides this summer. And two of the country’s top clubs have now made approaches to sign the 31-year-old attacker.
Galetti said: “For sure, he’s attracted the attention of Saudi Arabian clubs. Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, at the moment, are the clubs that have shown the greatest interest in Mohamed Salah. Contacts are in progress and both clubs are trying to understand if there is room for negotiation.”
Salah should put off Saudi Arabia move for as long as possible
Signed for £34m in 2017, Salah has been one of the world’s best attackers since joining Liverpool. And whilst a move to Saudi Arabia seems like a realistic option for the winger in the years to come, leaving this summer would be nothing short of a disastrous decision from FSG and the club.
Indeed, Salah is at the peak of his powers and is showing no signs of slowing down. And leaving Liverpool now to secure his fortune in the Middle East this summer would be a reputation-hitting move for the forward, who is viewed as a true legend at Anfield.
