Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler has reportedly rejected a move to Real Madrid, with Liverpool still interested in signing the 18-year-old.
According to Record, the Turkish international has shot down the idea of signing for the La Liga giants after it was proposed by Los Blancos that Guler will go back to Fenerbahce on loan, an idea that the winger is not open to after a breakout season last term.
Guler was one of Fenerbahce’s best players in the 2022/23 campaign, and there is now an expectation that the winger will sign for one of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, with Liverpool reportedly interested in signing the teenager according to AS.

As per Record, though, Liverpool are far from alone in their interest in Guler, with Arsenal, FC Barcelona and Benfica also chasing the Turkish sensation, who this summer could leave Fenerbahce for as little as £15m due to a release clause in the player’s contract.
Indeed, whilst Liverpool face competition for Guler, the player outright rejecting Madrid could be massive in the Turkish winger ending up at Anfield this summer. And this update has to inspire the Reds to make an official move for the Fenerbahce star.
Liverpool can’t afford to wait to sign Guler this summer

Guler is rightly regarded as one of the best prospects in all of Europe, with the forward enjoying a great year with Fenerbahce as well as now establishing himself as a key player for Turkey on the international stage. And for Liverpool, they simply can’t afford to wait around on this deal.
Although Madrid are out of the running, Liverpool still face a lot of competition for Guler’s signature. And with a release clause of just £15m, the Merseyside giants have the incentive already to go big on the Turkish international, who could be a fantastic addition for the squad.
