Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly made Mohammed Kudus a top transfer priority, with Liverpool also interested in the Ajax talent.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Seagulls are keen on signing the Ghana international with Brighton now having concrete interest in the versatile attacker as Roberto De Zerbi looks to make a splash this summer in the transfer market.
Football Transfers claimed last month that Liverpool are also interested in Kudus. However, this latest update concerning Brighton’s stance on the Ajax star could throw a massive wrench into the works in how Jurgen Klopp’s side pursues the 22-year-old.
Indeed, Kudus is one of the most versatile youngsters in Europe, with the Eredivisie talisman able to play as a forward as well as in the midfield. And with Brighton now interested, Liverpool face quite the battle to secure the prospect’s signature this summer.
Liverpool could struggle to beat Brighton to Kudus

With a reported asking price of £40m, Kudus would be quite the signing for both Liverpool and Brighton. Yet with the Seagulls now interested and with plenty of cash in reserves, the Reds could struggle to compete with their Premier League rivals for the Ajax prospect this summer.
As we know, Brighton will be in Europe for the first time in their history next season, and for Kudus, the idea of becoming a Premier League side’s leading player could be incredibly appealing, even with Liverpool also chasing for his signature this summer.
