Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing PEC Zwolle talent Rav van den Berg, the younger brother of current Anfield talent Sepp van den Berg.
According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are one of many sides chasing the 18-year-old centre-back, though Brentford appear to be in the lead to bring the Dutch defender to the Premier League, with the likes of AC Milan and AS Roma also chasing Van den Berg.
As per the report, the teenager is considered one of the best defensive prospects in all of Europe, and there’s a good chance that Rav van den Berg could soon eclipse his brother Sepp on the playing field, with big things expected from the Liverpool target.

Already a Dutch youth international, Van den Berg could decide to follow in his brother’s footsteps and make the move to Anfield. Yet with Brentford in talks for with the centre-back, a move to west London could now be more likely for the 18-year-old defender.
Indeed, although Liverpool are in need of a young centre-back this summer, Van den Berg is simply too young and too inexperienced to fill this role. With Rav’s older brother already a potential option for Jurgen Klopp in the years to come on Merseyside.
Liverpool should look to bring Rav van den Berg to Anfield

Rav van den Berg is already experiencing a similar career to his older brother, with the defender establishing himself as a regular for PEC before attracting interest from major European clubs, including Liverpool. And a move to Anfield could again be ideal for the Dutch youngster.
With his brother already at the club, Van den Berg has the perfect mentor to help guide him through the ropes of playing for a Premier League giant. And Liverpool themselves could be open to adding one of Europe’s most exciting young defenders to their ranks this summer.
