Liverpool are reportedly set to make an offer to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga, with the youngster a key target for the Merseyside giants.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Reds are ready to make their first bid for the 21-year-old, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Napoli also interested in signing Veiga this summer, who has a release clause of just £34m.
The La Liga youngster was one of the breakout names in the division last season as Veiga hit an impressive 11 goals from midfield, form that has attracted a lot of interest in the youngster and is now likely to result in the Celta Vigo star heading to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

And that team could now be Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s side expected to make an offer to sign Veiga, Moreover, the bid will likely be enough to trigger the midfielder’s release clause given how reasonable the figure is when compared to other targets in the market.
Galetti said: “The Reds are ready to make a concrete move for him to anticipate the competition that is quite fierce. Many top clubs like Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid and Napoli are interested in Gabri. Considering his release clause is set at a fair amount of €40m [£34m], the race for Veiga will be won by the fastest club.”
Liverpool have to act fast to wrap up Veiga signing

As mentioned by Galetti, the team who acts the fastest will likely be the one that signs Veiga this summer. And for Liverpool, that means they have to move quickly if they’re to beat their English and European rivals for the Spanish midfielder.
£35m is a bargain price for a talent as good and as productive as Veiga, and with Liverpool in need of more midfielders, the Spaniard could be the perfect signing to add to Alexis Mac Allister, especially when a deal can be so easy to conclude.
