Chelsea are reportedly set to offer Levi Colwill a new offer amid rumours that Liverpool are interested in signing the 20-year-old centre-back.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are intent on keeping the defender at the club this summer having already rejected a £30m transfer offer from Brighton & Hove Albion for Colwill, with Liverpool also believed to be in the race for the England youth international.
Colwill is one of Chelsea’s most exciting prospects and last season was a star player for Brighton as the Seagulls finished in sixth, qualifying for Europe for the first time in their history. And since then, interest has been high in the defender, including from Liverpool.
As a result, Chelsea are now eager to keep hold of Colwill, and offering the defender a new deal as well as the promise of regular football next season could be what ends Liverpool’s hopes in signing the 20-year-old, even if a move to Anfield could be perfect for the youngster.
Colwill could regret signing new Chelsea deal with Liverpool interested

Colwill has the world at his feet after an incredible year out on loan with Brighton, and whilst staying at Chelsea could result in regular minutes next season, the defender could regret staying on at west London with Liverpool interested in the centre-back.
As we know, Liverpool are keen to sign a left-footed defender this summer, and based on Jurgen Klopp’s incredible development record, Colwill could become a superstar if he opts to move to Merseyside rather than staying with his boyhood club this summer.
