Kylian Mbappe has stated that he will stay at PSG this summer despite news breaking this week that the striker won’t extend his contract with the French giants, as well as being linked with Liverpool.
Taking to Twitter, the France captain issued a reply to a Le Parisien report stating that Real Madrid will move for Mbappe, with the 24-year-old labelling the piece as ‘lies’ as Marca also claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing the attacker.
Mbappe’s contract with PSG is due to expire in 2024, and news of the forward not signing an extension with the Ligue 1 champions has sparked speculation that the French superstar will be on the move this summer. However, that appears to not be the case.
Indeed, Mbappe’s status as one of the best players in the world will of course see PSG fight off as much interest as possible in the striker, and whilst Liverpool have always been linked with the 24-year-old, this message on Twitter seems to indicate that no move will happen this summer.
Mbappe ending transfer speculation early has done Liverpool a service

Mbappe’s decision to take his future public on Twitter has arguably saved a few thousand work hours, with speculation on the forward likely to dominate the international radiowaves had the striker not come out to declare his decision to stay with PSG next season.
Liverpool fans might have been tempted by the prospect of Mbappe finally signing for the Anfield side. Yet with the Reds out of the UEFA Champions League and the finances all over the shop, the attacker has done the Merseyside giants a service by shooting down exit rumours already.
