Borussia Monchengladbach are reportedly braced for Manu Kone to leave this summer, with Liverpool heavily linked with a move for the French midfielder.
According to Sky Germany, the Bundesliga side are growing in anticipation that the 22-year-old will depart in the coming weeks, with Liverpool one of the many sides chasing Kone having established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the country.
Lauded by Mark Schwarzer as a ‘phenomenal’ talent, Kone has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, with Liverpool just one of many sides interested in bringing in the midfielder to England this summer.

With Liverpool in the market for at least two more central midfielders, Kone could be an outstanding option given his quality and his age. However, interest from other clubs as well as in other targets could see the Reds miss out on the Gladbach youngster.
As per Sky Germany, whilst Kone is on Liverpool’s shortlist, he’s not a top priority as things stand. And as a result, there’s a good chance that Jurgen Klopp’s side could miss out on the 22-year-old despite how ideal a fit the midfielder could be for the Reds.
Liverpool should look to sign Kone as Gladbach exit looms

Kone is primed to make his big move away from Gladbach this summer after impressing in the Bundesliga for the last two seasons, and whilst Liverpool might not be the favourites, the Reds should strongly consider the French youngster.
As we know, Liverpool are eager to make numerous midfield signings, and at 22, Kone could be the perfect project player for a coach like Klopp, who could transform the Bundesliga prospect into an exciting talent for the Anfield side for many years to come.
