Liverpool are reportedly preparing a bid to sign Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa, who could be sold this summer as the Italian giants look to balance out their books.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, the Anfield side are readying a €35m (£30m) offer to sign the Italian international, an offer that Juventus are tempted to accept as the 25-year-old looks primed to leave Turin despite being one of the club’s best players.

Chiesa returned from injury last season having spent nearly a year out on the sidelines. And whilst performances have been good for Juventus, the club’s financial issues amid their latest scandal could see most of their valuable assets sold to iron things out.

And Chiesa is one such name who could be sold, with Liverpool ready to take advantage of the situation to bring the winger to Anfield in a deal that many would consider an absolute bargain, with the forward considered to be one of the best in his position in Europe.

Lauded by journalist Sam Tabuteau as a ‘sensational talent’, even Cristiano Ronaldo is known to be a big fan of his former Juventus teammate as per CMIT. And Liverpool now look ready to make their play to bring the 25-year-old to Merseyside in the coming weeks.

Liverpool’s attacking options are arguably some of the best in all of Europe, and whilst adding to the position might seem like a waste of limited funds, there’s no denying that signing a player as good as Chiesa is one that you can’t simply turn down.

The Italian international is back on his way to becoming the superstar forward many tipped the attacker to become before his injury. And at Liverpool, Chiesa could become just that, especially when surrounded by the likes of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.
