Michail Antonio has lauded Declan Rice as one of the best midfielders in the world and a better player than Rodri, with the England international linked with a move to Liverpool.
Speaking on the Filthy Fellas Podcast, the Jamaica international was full of praise for the West Ham captain when prompted about good Rice is, with Antonio going one step further and labelling the rumoured Liverpool target as a more complete player than Manchester City’s Rodri.
Rice is expected to leave West Ham this summer with Liverpool just one of the sides interested in signing the Irons captain. And Antonio’s comments will more than inspire Jurgen Klopp to break the bank to sign the 24-year-old midfielder this summer.

Antonio said when asked about Rice’s game compared to Rodri’s: “What has Rodri got that Declan hasn’t? I can tell you one thing Declan has that Rodri doesn’t. Declan is fourth in the Premier League at dribbling. He can do everything Rodri can do, plus one.
“What you’re seeing is Rodri at Man City, Declan is at West Ham. Rice, you see him at a better club then you’ll see the difference. He has the most interceptions in the Premier League, that’s a DM’s job. He has the most drives, so he is not just cutting the ball up, he’s bringing the ball up the pitch.”
Liverpool might have to go all out to sign Rice this summer

Liverpool are aware that Rice could easily cost as much as a potential deal for Jude Bellingham. Yet with the midfielder as good as he is and lauded as highly by his West Ham teammates, there could be a temptation to soon bid for the England international.
The Reds are far from the only club interested in signing Rice this summer, and for Liverpool, the addition of the West Ham star could refresh the entire squad into one that has the quality and the potential to challenge for the Premier League title once again.
