Liverpool informed on terms to sign £44m midfielder who Schmadtke likes

Liverpool have reportedly been informed by Borussia Monchengladbach on what terms they will find acceptable to sell Manu Kone this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old midfielder is a target for the Reds as sporting director Jorg Schmadtke looks to help Jurgen Klopp in his immense rebuilding project this summer, and with Kone now a player who could be an option.

Valued at £44m, journalist Christian Falk has already teased that Schmadtke is a fan of the Gladbach midfielder, and with Liverpool now are of the terms the Bundesliga side will agree on to sell their prized asset this summer, a deal could now begin to take shape.

Kone is regarded by many as one of the best talents in the Bundesliga having become a regular for Gladbach over the last two seasons, and for Liverpool, the youngster could be an excellent option in the market to rejuvenate their midfield.

Kone has enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top with Gladbach in the last two years, and with Liverpool now seemingly firmly interested in the midfielder, a move this summer could be an incredible move for the Anfield outlet given the youngster’s quality and potential.

With Schmadtke also believe to be a fan of Kone, the German sporting director could make a convincing argument to bring the midfielder to Merseyside for below what Gladbach want for the Frenchman this summer, a deal that will more than please the Liverpool board and Klopp.
