Liverpool could reportedly include a buy-back clause in any permanent deal for Fabio Carvalho, who is now looking increasingly likely to leave Anfield this summer.

Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to confirm that the Reds are reluctant to sell the 20-year-old this summer, with a loan believed to be what Liverpool want this summer despite strong interest in Carvalho. As a result, a sale which includes a buy-back clause could now be a possibility.

Carvalho has struggled to make much of an impact in his first year at Liverpool, and a departure is now a growing prospect. However, fans and the club themself are keen to see the winger leave on loan rather than a permanent transfer to a rival club.

Whilst this might be Liverpool’s stance, this latest update seemingly suggests that the Reds could change their opinion on Carvalho’s place at the club sooner rather than later, with a convincing offer something that could turn the tide of this transfer saga.

Carvalho’s future has quickly become the biggest talking point in the Anfield community. And whilst there could be pressure on Liverpool to sell the winger, the Reds must do all they can to keep the 20-year-old on their books, with a loan move the best decision for all parties this summer.

The youngster is one of the most talented players in Liverpool’s senior squad. And whilst there could be a temptation from Carvalho to leave, the Portuguese youth international will be better off remaining on Merseyside and heading out for a year rather than quitting after just one season.
