Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that Liverpool targets Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are expected to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
Speaking to the press via BBC Sport, the Seagulls manager revealed that Brighton’s two star players could leave in the coming weeks having enjoyed incredible seasons in the Premier League, with Liverpool strongly linked to move Mac Allister and Caicedo.
The Anfield giants have made the Argentine international their main midfield priority this summer whilst Caicedo could also join Liverpool if they can negotiate a deal with Brighton, with De Zerbi more or less confirming that the pair will leave the English south coast.

De Zerbi said on his star duo: “I think that can be the last game of Alexis and Moises, I’m really sorry. They are two great people and two great players. The policy of Brighton is like this. I think it’s right they can leave, can change teams and play in a level higher.
“If you ask me about Caicedo and Mac Allister, I love them and they are two big, big players and can be in a big, big European team. They can play in every competition and are ready to compete for a big team and I hope for them they can play in the best team in the world.”
Liverpool must secure Mac Allister deal as quickly as possible

De Zerbi’s emotional press conference as well as Mac Allister’s tears at Villa Park all firmly point to the midfielder leaving Brighton this summer, and for Liverpool, they must do all they can to secure the Argentine’s signature with the transfer window soon opening.
With Caicedo also a target for Liverpool as reported by Goal, the Reds could make it a double swoop for Brighton’s star players given just how good the 21-year-old is, with the Ecuardian arguably a midfielder who could offer Jurgen Klopp more than Mac Allister.
