Thomas Tuchel will reportedly play a key role in whether Ryan Gravenberch will be sold this summer, with the Bayern Munich talent wanted by Liverpool.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the German manager will make the decision alongside the Bundesliga champion’s board on if the Dutch international will be allowed to leave, with Liverpool being strongly linked with Gravenberch ahead of this summer.

Tuttomercatoweb have previously reported that Bayern could be open to selling Gravenberch for €50m (£43m), almost double what the German giants paid Ajax last summer to sign the 21-year-old midfielder. Yet it could be a fee that Liverpool are willing to pay.

The Reds are big fans of the Bayern youngster despite his lack of minutes this season under both Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann, and with the Bavarian club now set to sit down and discuss Gravenberch’s future, a decision could soon be made on the Dutchman.

Indeed, Liverpool are aware that they could be strong favourites to sign Gravenberch this summer, and with Bayern set for a total rebuild over the transfer window, offloading the 21-year-old for a quick profit could work out very well in the long-term for Tuchel and his squad.

With just six starts all season for Bayern, Gravenberch wanting to leave the Bundesliga giants is perhaps no real surprise, and with Liverpool still interested in the midfielder, the decision could soon be made for the 21-year-old to leave Germany for Merseyside.

Although Gravenberch has effectively lost a year of his career, signing for Liverpool could give the midfielder a welcome boost in getting his form back on track, with Jurgen Klopp also the perfect manager for the young Dutchman to learn under.
