Liverpool are now reportedly ready to pay Manuel Ugarte’s release clause in order to beat PSG to the Sporting Lisbon midfielder.
According to Le Parisien, the Merseyside giants are set to pull the trigger for the 22-year-old Uruguyan to bring the youngster to Anfield, with Liverpool now making big strides to beat the French giants to Ugarte in the coming weeks.
With a release clause of €60m (£52m), Ugarte could represent a huge outlay from Liverpool should Jurgen Klopp’s side really decide on moving for the Sporting star, with the midfielder this season becoming one of the most in-demand talents in all of Europe.

Big performances in Portugal and in Europe has seen Ugarte’s stock risen considerably this campaign, and Liverpool now look ready to add Ugarte to their ranks this summer, with midfield the position the Reds are eager to spend most of their funds on.
Indeed, at 22, Ugarte is very much at the start of his footballing career at the top, and whilst the defensive midfielder might not become an immediate starter for Liverpool, the Premier League giants signing the youngster this summer could be an outstanding move in the years to come.
