Reported Liverpool target Ruben Neves has been strongly tipped to leave Wolves after the midfielder was given an emotional ovation from Molineux this weekend.
BBC Sport pundit Paul Robinson made the observation on Saturday as the Portuguese international was given a lot of support in Wolves’ lap-of-honour in their final home game of the season, with Neves heavily linked with a summer move to Liverpool, as well as FC Barcelona.
The 26-year-old is heading into the last year of his contract at the end of this season, and the general ideal is that Neves will be sold by Wolves whilst his value is as high as it is, with Liverpool a club who could now potentially move for the former FC Porto star.

And Robinson believes that Neves will leave Wolves based on the midfielder’s reaction at Molineux on Saturday during the club’s lap-of-honour, with the Portuguese star seemingly overshadowing Adama Traore, who is also set to depart this summer.
Robinson said on Neves: “The ovation for Neves certainly did overshadow that of Traore. If there was ever any doubt as to his future, I don’t think he will be staying here next season based on that ovation. Wherever he goes next he will leave Molineux with very fond memories.”
Liverpool have to consider Neves should he leave Wolves

Everyone and their uncle knows that Liverpool’s transfer plans this summer mainly include signing central midfielders, and with Neves giving a big indicator that he will leave Wolves, the Reds should make an attempt to sign the Premier League star.
The Portuguese international is at the perfect age and has plenty of experience in the English top-flight, as well as in Europe, and for Jurgen Klopp, he will find it hard to identify as suited a midfielder for his squad at a good price in the Premier League market as Neves.
