Gabby Agbonlahor makes astonishing Liverpool prediction for next season

Gabriel Agbonlahor has predicted Jurgen Klopp to be sacked by Liverpool if the German manager experiences another difficult start to the season.

Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit made the astonishing assessment that Klopp could be dismissed from Anfield if Liverpool again struggle hit top form at the start of the season having taken so long to get up to full-speed this year. 

The Reds currently face improbable odds to finish in the top-four having endured a season to forget, with UEFA Europa League football on the cards for next year having failed to win a single trophy as well as put on any pressure on Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Whilst Liverpool are set to spend big this summer, Agbonlahor is not convinced that the Reds will be as patient with Klopp as they have been this season, and the German boss could be sacked if they Merseyside giant’s struggle yet again next campaign.

The former Aston Villa striker said when asked about Klopp’s fate for next season: “If they start next season badly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Klopp gets sacked.”

Klopp’s future has come under the microscope this season after certain runs of form. Yet there’s no denying that the Liverpool hero will remain in the hot seat despite Agbonlahor’s prediction.

Of course, there’s every chance that Liverpool can endure a difficult start to next season, yet to sack Klopp then and there feels a dream conjured up by a rival supporter, such is the outlandishness of such an idea.
