AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana has teased leaving the Ligue 1 club this summer amid growing interest from Liverpool.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, the French international hinted that, should the right opportunity come up this summer, the midfielder would be open on leaving Monaco, with Liverpool and Chelsea both being linked with a move for the 24-year-old in recent weeks.
As per the Daily Mail, Monaco are open to selling Fofana for as little as £22m, a price tag that could appeal greatly to the likes of Liverpool, who are believed to be eyeing as many as three midfield signings this summer in the transfer market.

Indeed, Fofana’s stock has exploded this season, and the midfielder himself has now teased that he could leave Monaco this summer. The 24-year-old said: “Monaco is a great club in France and Europe. A lot of big clubs come here to find players and we are all aware of this. If it is the right opportunity or moment [to leave], I can’t say.
“I don’t know but we are doing things the right way here at the moment. I have already played with top players but if one day I can play with more big names then it will be a pleasure and mean I have performed well.”
Liverpool can easily convince Fofana to leave Monaco

Fofana has enjoyed a whirlwind season for both club and country, and with the midfielder now hinting that he could leave Monaco for the right team, Liverpool have to step out from the shadows and make an offer for the Ligue 1 superstar.
As we know, the Reds are keen on signing multiple midfielders this summer, and with Fofana enjoying his best season to date and valued at just £22m, the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist could be a perfect addition for Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer.
