Liverpool are reportedly winning the race to sign Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga, with Jurgen Klopp believed to be a huge fan of the Spanish midfielder.
According to TeamTalk, the Reds are leading the chase to recruit the 20-year-old, with Liverpool’s manager viewing Veiga as a talent who could one day become a superstar with the right training and development in the years to come.
With a release clause of £34m, Veiga could be an appealing option for Liverpool in their mission to bolster their midfield options in the summer, and with interest continuing to build for the Celta wonderkid, the Reds might have to move fast to wrap up a deal.

As per the report, Klopp wants at least three midfield signings made this summer, and Veiga’s age and unique abilities will no doubt appeal to the Liverpool manager, with the La Liga talent hitting double digits for goals this season in the Spanish top-flight.
And with the news that Liverpool are leading the race for Veiga and that Klopp is a big fan of the midfielder’s potential, the possibility of a transfer now actually happening feels likely, with the Anfield manager a coach who has proven to get the best out of young players.
Liverpool signing Veiga could be a sensational deal in years to come

Veiga has exploded onto the scene this season with Celta, and with the Spanish youth international now firmly on Liverpool’s radar, the midfielder could prove to be an incredible signing for the Reds if they can beat rival clubs to the 20-year-old’s signature.
Klopp’s personal admiration for Veiga could also play massively into Liverpool’s hands, with the German one of the best managers in world football and a figure who could swing the tide of a transfer battle firmly into the hands of the Merseyside giants.
