Wolves have reportedly set a €50m (£44m) asking price for Liverpool target Ruben Neves, with FC Barcelona now out of the race for the midfielder.
According to Sport, the Molineux side are open to the Portuguese international leaving this summer amid growing interest in the 26-year-old, with Liverpool one of the sides who have long been linked with a move for Neves over the last few months.
And as per the report, the Reds could now face an easier task of signing Neves with Barcelona dropping their interest in the Wolves star, with the Catalan giants unwilling to match the £44m asking price that has now been set this summer.

With Liverpool looking to sign at least two central midfielders, Neves could be an ideal addition in the transfer window as well as a cheap option compared to other targets such as Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte, who could all easily cost over £50m.
Praised as ‘special’ by former Wolves manager Bruno Lage, Neves has been one of the most consistent midfielders in the Premier League since being promoted to the division in 2018, and for Liverpool, this latest update could not sound more perfect for their interest in the Portuguese talisman.
Liverpool should consider Neves move with Barcelona now out

Barcelona dropping their interest in Neves is hardly a surprise, with the La Liga champions-to-be set to target free-agent signings and to recoup as much money possible from player sales, and Liverpool could now pounce for Neves amid this update.
The Wolves star has proven to be a great midfielder at Premier League-level and could thrive at a top club, and for Liverpool, their needs perfectly match what Neves could bring to the side in the summer, with £44m also a good fee for a talent of the Portuguese star’s calibre.
