Paul Merson has predicted Liverpool to lose against Leicester City on Monday night, with the Foxes in desperate need of a win to fight off Premier League relegation.
Writing for Sports Keeda, the pundit believes that Dean Smith’s side could have the fight needed to get a result against Liverpool, who they themselves are now firmly in the race for top-four after a six-game winning streak and Manchester United losing their last two games.
However, Merson still thinks Leicester will have the edge on Monday night when the two sides meet at the King Power Stadium, with the former Arsenal striker suggesting that Liverpool have not been at their best despite their best run of form all season.

Merson said: “Liverpool are playing for a Champions League berth but they are not really ripping it up despite getting several wins under their belt in recent weeks. They are not exactly destroying teams and I think, Leicester have a chance here. But the Foxes can’t defend like they have in recent weeks.
“There is no point in drawing this game. They have got to win this one. I’m going to go with Leicester. The pressure will be on Liverpool and Leicester have everything to play for. This could be a season-defining game for Leicester. If they don’t win it, I think they’re going to get relegated.”
Liverpool will have to be wary of Leicester danger on Monday

Leicester might find themselves on the wrong end of the Premier League, yet that doesn’t mean the Foxes are lacking the players who can cause Liverpool some damage, with Jamie Vardy and James Maddison two names who can easily find their way onto the scoresheet.
With safety in the Premier League more important than a top-four finish, Leicester will go into Monday all-guns-blazing to keep their status in the division, and Liverpool have to be up for the challenge despite their incredible form of late.
