Liverpool have reportedly told Real Madrid that they’re willing to sign Aurelien Tchouameni at all costs this summer if the midfielder is made available.

90min claim that the Reds still hold a serious interest in the French international, and Liverpool have alerted their reigning European champions that they are open to signing Tchouameni even on loan if Madrid decide to sell the midfielder this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are set to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund as the final piece of their three-year plan to replace their central midfield, and whilst Tchouameni could remain a key part of Los Blancos’ long-term strategy, the Frenchman could be sold to raise funds.

With a reported asking price of £90m, Tchouameni being sold to Liverpool one year after opting to move to Madrid could be a huge financial win for the Spanish giants. And with the Reds desperate to sign the midfielder at all costs, a loan move could be on the cards.

However, even with Madrid signing Bellingham this summer, it doesn’t mean that Tchouameni will be sold to offset the move, and for Liverpool, even signing the 23-year-old on loan could prove to be a massive struggle given how highly-rated the former AS Monaco star is in the Spanish capital.

Having missed out on Tchouameni last year, it only makes sense why Liverpool would want to reignite their interest in the midfielder when his position at Madrid looks uncertain, yet the Reds could still have their nerve tested to the max if they want to prize the French international away from La Liga.

As we know, Tchouameni is very much a long-term project at Madrid who could be expected to play a big role at the club next season, and although a move to Liverpool could be tempting for the player, remaining at the Bernabeu could be best for the midfielder’s career despite the allure of the Premier League.
