Liverpool are reportedly preparing a €100m (£88m) bid to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
According to AS, Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Brazilian international and is ready to break the bank to bring the Newcastle star to Anfield after a sensational 18 months in the Premier League, with FC Barcelona and PSG also interested in the 25-year-old.
Midfield is a key position for Liverpool this summer as the Reds look to bring in multiple quality players in the role to push the Merseyside giants back into the Premier League title picture, and signing Guimaraes would do just that.

Although the South American would be an incredible coup for Liverpool, whether or not a deal is possible remains a different question entirely, with Newcastle working to sign Guimaraes to a new contract as the Magpies also look like favourites to claim a UEFA Champions League spot.
As a result, Liverpool missing out on top-four could all-but guarantee that Guimaraes stays with Newcastle, with the midfielder unlikely to sign for the Reds even when you consider just how big the club are when compared to the Magpies, who are only going on the up.
Liverpool signing Guimaraes sounds as incredible as it is unlikely

Guimaraes has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since signing for Newcastle in 2022, and whilst the Brazilian would be perfect for Liverpool, there’s no denying that the Anfield side has next-to-no chance in actually bringing the Toon superstar to Merseyside.
The midfield sensation has become a crowd favourite on Tyneside with Newcastle and will unlikely want to leave with the club set to compete in the Champions League next season, and for Guimaraes, he is aware that he can forge a legacy for himself if he remains with Eddie Howe’s side rather than jumping ship to Liverpool.
