Real Madrid make Liverpool target 'untransferable' after signing Bellingham

Real Madrid reportedly won’t sell Liverpool target Aurelien Tchouameni despite news this week that Jude Bellingham is close to signing for the La Liga giants.

According to Foot Mercato, the Spanish side view the French international as ‘untransferable’, with Madrid seemingly keen to build a new midfield featuring the likes of Tchouameni and Bellingham, with Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga also long-term options.

As a result, Liverpool will seemingly have no chance to sign Tchouameni this summer despite early debates suggesting that Madrid could sell the Frenchman with the arrival of Bellingham, with the plan being to play the two together in what could be an incredible midfield.

Madrid famously beat Liverpool to Tchouameni last summer despite the Reds looking set to snap up the former AS Monaco star. And Carlo Ancelotti’s side have once again beat then Anfield giants to the punch with Bellingham, with this deal likely to sting more.

Indeed, the England international was viewed as Liverpool’s big this signing this summer for what felt like a year, and with Madrid not only signing the midfielder but also keeping Tchouameni, the Reds have been well and truly played by their European rivals.

Tchouameni might not have had as incredible a year as many would have predicted, yet the 23-year-old is still seemingly a big part of Madrid’s future, and Liverpool knew signing the midfielder would have been impossible regardless of if Bellingham joined the club.

Whilst missing out on the French international is a blow, Liverpool signing Tchouameni was always going to a lofty dream, and next season could see the former Monaco star finally take his game to the next level at Madrid with Bellingham alongside him.
