Liverpool have reportedly presented their pitch to Alexis Mac Allister as the Reds look to wrap up a deal for the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Anfield side are looking to complete a deal for the Argentine international in the next few weeks, with discussions taking a big leap recently as Liverpool look to strike an agreement for Mac Allister.
Reportedly valued at £70m, Mac Allister has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League this season and a key clog behind Brighton’s incredible rise up the ranks under Roberto De Zerbi, with the 24-year-old also playing an exceptional role for Argentina in their 2022 FIFA World Cup triumph.
With Liverpool targeting central midfield as their main priority for new signings, securing a deal for Mac Allister early could be massive for Jurgen Klopp’s summer plans, with the German manager keen to wrap up business before the start of pre-season in early July.
Although Liverpool need more than Mac Allister, the Brighton man would be a great first addition for the Reds ahead of a massive summer window, and this update from Romano is more than encouraging.
Liverpool securing Mac Allister deal before June could be massive

Mac Allister’s rise this season has been nothing short of incredible, with the Brighton star one of the most exciting midfielders in the Premier League and a player who could add plenty of value to many top sides, and Liverpool wrapping up a deal in the coming weeks could be huge.
Indeed, Liverpool know that getting as much business done early will be key if the Reds are to push on for the Premier League title next season, and with Mac Allister one of the best options out there in the market, the Merseyside giants are playing it smart by making an early play for the Argentine.
