Joao Palhinha has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, and supporters got a good look at the Fulham midfielder this evening at Anfield.
The 27-year-old Portuguese international was once again in the Cottagers’ starting XI as Palhinha marshalled the midfield in another superb performance, even with Fulham ultimately losing the match 1-0 thanks to Mohamed Salah’s first-half penalty.
Despite signing for Fulham just last year, Palhinha has quickly established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, with the former Sporting Lisbon man making the most tackles out of anyone in the division by quite some margin.
And perhaps to the shock of nobody, Liverpool are interested in Palhinha, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Merseyside giants have the Fulham star on their list of midfield targets for the summer. And if there was ever a day for the 27-year-old to impress the Reds, it was tonight.

With a reported asking price of £50m, Liverpool signing Palhinha could be a masterstroke of a transfer from Jurgen Klopp’s side, and supporters on social media seem sold already on the Reds bringing in the Portuguese international this summer.
