Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Roberto Firmino will not be ready in time to feature against Fulham tomorrow night, with the Brazilian international still out through injury.
Speaking to the press via Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, the Reds manager revealed that the 31-year-old will miss the Cottagers visit to Anfield this week, with Firmino out through a muscle injury that has kept the attacker out of action since Liverpool’s 6-1 win against Leeds United.
There was an expectation that the former Hoffenheim attacker could be ready to play against Fulham. However, Klopp has shut down early hopes that Firmino could feature, with the German coach saying: “Bobby (Firmino) is training, he’s not ready for the game. It’s pretty much the same for Naby.”

Firmino has been one of Liverpool’s best attackers this season despite his reduced role as a squad player, with the £29m forward bagging 11 goals and five assists in all competitions, and supporters will be hoping that the South American returns to action soon.
The striker has already announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season, and for fans, they will want to see Firmino one last time before he departs Anfield, with the forward a key reason behind Klopp’s success at the club in recent years.
Firmino’s injury should start becoming a concern for Liverpool

Having missed the last three games, Firmino’s injury should start becoming a major concern for supporters, with the attacker now set to miss a fourth match from a problem that seemingly should have been cured in time for the Tottenham clash last weekend.
However, it now seems that Firmino’s injury could be worse that first imagine, and whilst the attacker is now back in training, fans are within their right to be worried about how long the Brazilian will be out for if the Brazilian is not back this weekend to face Brentford.
