Thiago Alcantara was spotted limping around Anfield today ahead of the Reds’ clash against Tottenham, with the Liverpool midfielder seemingly injured.

According to journalist Ian Doyle, the Spanish international was seen heading to the bench to sit with the Liverpool substitutes before the teams headed out for kick-off, with the early indicator being that Thiago could yet again be out through injury.

The former Bayern Munich star played 30 minutes against West Ham midweek with Thiago completing the fixture with no apparent problems, though it now appears that the midfielder has again injured himself, adding more worries to Liverpool’s options.

Thiago’s time at Liverpool has been marred by numerous injury worries, with the 32-year-old already missing 16 games this season due to various issues, and it appears that despite overcoming a two-month-long hip problem, the 32-year-old is once again on the treatment table.

Thiago’s injury record has followed the midfielder for the majority of his career, and with the Liverpool star being spotted alongside the squad to face Tottenham outside a playing capacity, fans have every right to fear how long the Spaniard could now be out for.

With Liverpool finding form at the right time, having Thiago out injured could be a killer blow in the Reds’ dream goal of a top-four finish, and questions will again be asked if the Merseyside giants can count on the midfielder despite his world-class qualities.
