Ibrahima Konate has been named in Liverpool’s starting XI to face Tottenham after being dropped from the squad midweek against West Ham.
The French international returns to Jurgen Klopp’s side alongside Virgil van Dijk after completely missing out Wednesday night’s clash in east London against the Irons, with the Liverpool manager confirming that Konate was only rested for the trip to West Ham.
With fixtures coming thick and fast, Liverpool need to ensure that they’re rotating the starting XI as often as possible, and with the Reds’ winning on Wednesday in the English capital, resting Konate to keep the defender fresh to face Tottenham proved to be the right move from Klopp.

With three wins on the spin, Liverpool are one of the in-form teams in the Premier League after a season of inconsistency, and Konate starting alongside Van Dijk could be huge in the Reds once again securing another massive victory.
