Liverpool have identified OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram as an alternative to Jude Bellingham this summer.
That’s according to journalist Neil Jones, speaking on an episode of Journo Insight with The Redmen TV.
“Yeah, I think so [Thuram on Liverpool’s list]. I think everyone’s on the list almost, everyone under the age of 27 who plays in midfield at a decent level is a potential player for Liverpool,” said Jones.
“I think Liverpool would want a bit more of a sure thing, and I think Khephren Thuram is clearly a player of huge potential – he’s playing in a good side in the French league… played for France.

“He’s obviously got huge potential. It’s whether they believe that potential is nailed on – they did with Tchouameni, they obviously did with Bellingham, despite not being able to get them.
“Or is he someone they know exactly what they’ll get from him if they put him straight into this Liverpool team. I think there’s enough doubt there isn’t there, obviously.
“I would definitely [say] the price, the age, the profile, the type of player he is, the potential he’s got – makes him someone who’s definitely on a list that Liverpool would be looking at.”
Thuram fits Liverpool profile
As youngsters available in Europe right now, Liverpool won’t be able to find one much better than Thuram.
Standing at 6ft 4inches tall, the Frenchman would add a physical presence to the side’s midfield, so he could be a great option for Klopp.
At just 22-years-old, he still has years and years left before he reaches his peak, meaning he is only going to get better as a player.

For half the price of players who are four to five years older than him, the France international would be an ‘excellent’ cost-efficient option.
As Liverpool need numerous midfield additions this summer, his arrival would allow the club to spread their money elsewhere – so we would definitely love to see a move come to fruition.
