Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho has reflected on his first season at the club, sharing his desire for more game time.

Speaking in an interview with HypeBeast, the 20-year-old was asked about his move to Merseyside, and how he feels he’s done having made the step up to the Premier League.

“It’s been an interesting season, but I’ve learned a lot from it,” Carvalho said.

“I’d obviously have liked to get some more minutes at the club – but I think I’ve gained a lot of valuable lessons to help me improve in the future.”

On his aims for next season, he added: “I want to get more minutes under my belt and level up ahead of the new season.

“We’ve got a final run of games to show what we can do as a team and what I can do as a player!”

Carvalho deserves minutes

When Liverpool were struggling with injuries at the start of the season, Carvalho really stepped up for Jurgen Klopp.

In the first 11 Premier League games of the campaign, the attacking midfielder featured ten times – during which he bagged two goals.

However, since December, the former U21 Portugal international has had just two minutes of top-flight action.

Instead, he has either been left on the bench, or out of matchday squads altogether.

With such huge potential, we think the 20-year-old deserves more opportunities.

Therefore, if this isn’t immediately viable at Liverpool, he should go out on loan next season to another Premier League team.
