Cody Gakpo and Joe Gomez have both named left-back Kostas Tsimikas as the funniest player in the Liverpool squad.
Gomez, Gakpo and back-up goalkeeper Adrian were all asked to name the player who made them laugh the most for EA Sports. And despite being asked separately, all three came up with the same answer, with Gomez also giving a nod to Andy Robertson.
“Left-back union. You always hear them [Tsimikas and Robertson], one way or another, both of them,” said Gomez.

“Kostas, great guy and really funny as well,” agreed Gakpo, while Adrian echoed the sentiment.
“I would say him [Tsimikas] as well,” said the goalie. “He’s like a kid sometimes, never stops. But he’s very, very funny.”
Kostas the funny man
Ask any of the Liverpool squad, and they’d all probably tell you the same here. Robertson may be Kostas’ closest rival, but the Greek is universally popular at the AXA Training Centre.
Seemingly perpetually happy and with bundles of energy, the 26-year-old doesn’t seem to mind that he’s not the first choice for Jurgen Klopp.
In that regard the Greek is exactly the type of personality that the manager absolutely loves. Capable of coming in and doing a job whenever asked to, he won’t complain if he’s then out of the team the next week.

For three years now the left-back has played that understudy role with aplomb. He seems to be happy with it, too. But there’s surely only so long he’ll be satisfied with that.
Should Liverpool need to raise funds this summer, Kostas could be one on the chopping block. He’s shown enough in the last three years that he’d be a good option for plenty of sides at Champions League level.
Liverpool would want a decent fee for Tsimikas, but they shouldn’t stand in his way should interest arrive. As these three have attested too, he wouldn’t be easy to replace though, in more ways than one.
