Liverpool have been scouting 16-year-old centre-back Luka Vuskovic during this year’s UEFA Youth League.
Vuskovic was part of the Hajduk Split team that made it all the way to this year’s competition final. And according to The Daily Mail, the youngster has earned some famous fans along the way.
They claim that as well as Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle have all been actively scouting him.

City are said to have taken their interest even further, already making an enquiry to Hajduk over Vuskovic. The Croatian’s reportedly value the teenager at around £12m.
Vuskovic – who stands at a massive 6ft 5in – is claimed to have drawn comparisons with Barcelona legend Gerard Pique. However, some unnamed scouts have reportedly suggested that his size may lead to some immobility in the future.
Early days for Vuskovic
As a huge man for his age, Vuskovic is always likely to draw the attention of scouts. Having already played five games for Hajduk’s first team, the defender looks to be on the fast-track to a professional career.
But as the scouts in The Daily Mail report note, size may not always be to the Croatian’s advantage.

In an increasingly technical game, Vuskovic will have to pair his massive body with an ability to play the ball on the ground.
Luckily for him, Croatian football is well-versed in producing players with these kinds of skills. Notoriously technical in their approach, the tiny country know how to produce excellent footballers.
If Vuskovic can become the all-round player his frame suggests he cannot, then he really will be a force to reckoned with. At this stage, there’s no surprise to see the likes of Liverpool checking on whether that’s a possibility or not.
Still early days for this young man, but he’s a name to keep aware of at the very least.
