Liverpool are now interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to The Daily Star.
As per the report, the Reds are targeting the 27-year-old in a £35m deal this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has identified the England international after being priced out of a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

The German boss is set to undergo a rebuild of his midfield at the end of the season, and Phillips has been deemed one of his main targets.
It is believed the Merseyside outfit have let it be known that the former Leeds United man is on their radar, and subsequently, they have learned the player is open to a move to Anfield.
Liverpool interested in signing Phillips
Having joined the Sky Blues for £45m last summer, Phillips’s career at the Etihad hasn’t unfolded in the way he would have hoped for.
This season, the Yorkshireman has made 16 appearances, with just seven of these matches coming in the Premier League. Staggeringly, he is yet to start a game for City in the division.
Before he made the move last summer, various other top-flight teams were interested in securing his services.
West Ham and Newcastle were both touted as potential destinations, as were Aston Villa – who, at the time, were managed by Steven Gerrard.

It was reported that Phillips was the Scouser’s number one transfer target last summer, but they were pipped to the signing by City.
Now, the 27-year-old could be on the move again, with Liverpool keen to bring him to Anfield.
However, other Premier League teams are sure to reignite their interest in the ‘phenomenal’ midfielder, so this won’t be an easy signing to make.
