Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could make a shock return to management with Greek giants Olympiacos.
That’s according to Greek outlet Sport-FM, who claim the Scouser is being considered for their managerial vacancy.
The 42-year-old has been out of the game since he was sacked by Aston Villa in October last year, instead working as a pundit to fill the time.

Olympiakos are reportedly eyeing Gerrard as an alternative to Gennaro Gattuso, who was last in charge at Valencia.
The Italian would like to take his time evaluating the move, but the club won’t hold out for too long – thus making them open to hiring other candidates.
Gerrard could return to management with Olympiacos
Since retiring as a professional, Gerrard has long been linked with the Liverpool managerial job.
In 2017, he became the U18’s manager at the Reds’s academy, as he looked to delve into a coaching career – rather than focusing on his work as a pundit.
He subsequently took the job at Ibrox, where he went on to win the Premiership title with Rangers for the first time in ten years.
Leaving after two-and-a-half years in Scotland, Gerrard made the switch to the Premier League, signing with Aston Villa.

However, his career in the Midlands didn’t go as planned, and he was sacked after just 11 months in charge, as the Villains won just two of 12 league games at the start of this season.
Since then, the Anfield legend hasn’t seemed further away from being linked with the Liverpool job.
Although, if he can get his career back on track at a team like Olympiacos, his return would certainly remain a possibility – especially as they’re the most successful club in their country’s history.
