Fabio Carvalho could now reportedly leave Liverpool just one year after signing for the Merseyside giants, with the England youth international hardly featuring this season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Fulham wonderkid could be out the exit door at Anfield having moved to Liverpool last summer, with the 20-year-old prospect playing just 631 minutes of football for the Reds, though Carvalho has managed three goals in all competitions.

Despite a strong start and some impressive early performances, Carvalho has fallen out of favour of Jurgen Klopp’s plans, with the winger making just three appearances in 2023 and failing to start a match for Liverpool since their third-round replay against Wolves in the FA Cup.

Indeed, whether or not Carvalho will leave Liverpool for good is one thing, yet with talk around circulating that the playmaker could depart Anfield, concerns could soon grow that the Reds will look to offload the 20-year-old for good to raise some funds this summer.

Romano sais on the winger’s future at Liverpool and the prospect of leaving Merseyside this summer: “Fabio Carvalho I am told is also leaving. We have to see what solution they will find but he is young and he is never playing so it is important to clarify these things.”

Liverpool are aware of the talent they have on their hands in Carvalho, who at 20 is still very much at the start of his footballing career and still has plenty of time to grow and develop into a world-beater, which is why leaving on loan could be the best outcome for all parties.

The versatile winger has shown enough this season to attract some major interest from top clubs, and a loan move to a Premier League or UEFA Champions League team could be perfect for Carvalho, who would silly to throw away his Liverpool career out the window already.
