Evan Ndicka is reportedly set to tell Eintracht Frankfurt in the next ten days what his future at the club will be, amid rumours that Liverpool are interested in signing the defender.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 23-year-old will announce his transfer plans to the Bundesliga side in the coming days, with Ndicka’s contract with Frankfurt due to expire at the end of the season amid growing interest from around Europe.

Mundo Deportivo recently reported that Liverpool are in the picture to sign Ndicka, alongside the likes of FC Barcelona, and the defender’s pending announcement to Frankfurt, which is likely to be made public, could be massive for Jurgen Klopp’s transfer plans.

The Reds are keen to sign a centre-back this summer amid growing concerns over the futures of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, and Ndicka, who is regarded as one of the best defenders in Germany and Europe as a whole, could be a sensational signing, especially as a free agent.

A left-footed centre-back who has been a regular in the Bundesliga since he was a teenager, Ndicka has a lot going for him heading into the summer transfer window, and for Liverpool, they will be hopeful that the centre-back announces his intention to leave Frankfurt at the end of the season.

As we know, Liverpool are looking to sign a quality centre-back to add to the ranks of Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. And with Ndicka potentially becoming a free agent, the Reds can save a tonne in their transfer budget if they’re able to bring in a key target for an important position without having to spend a penny on a fee.
