Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly not happy with his current situation at Bayern Munich amid claims that Liverpool are interested in signing the Dutch international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old midfielder is not pleased with his lack of game time at the Bavarian giants this season having made the move to Bayern last summer from Ajax, with Gravenberch playing just a bit-part role for the German side this campaign.

As a result, transfer interest has exploded in the youngster, with Liverpool recently linked with a move for Gravenberch amid news from David Ornstein that the Reds have even met with the player’s team over a potential summer deal. And the midfielder’s situation at Bayern could make a transfer possible.

Romano said on the Dutchman’s current problems at Bayern: “Ryan Gravenberch is not happy with his situation at Bayern. He wants to play but there is not enough space for him in this squad. He will have a conversation with Thomas Tuchel towards the end of the season to determine his future.

“This situation is open, Bayern think he’s a top talent and this is why they will fight to keep the player, but Premier League interest is there. Liverpool appreciate the player, and they’re not the only ones, there are other clubs following his situation so the Dutch midfielder is one to keep an eye on this summer.”

Gravenberch’s time in Munich has hardly gone to plan, with the midfielder struggling to adapt to life in Germany and already thinking about a move away from the Bundesliga leaders. And for Liverpool, this gives them the perfect excuse to move for the 20-year-old midfielder.

As we know, Liverpool are looking to sign at least three central midfielders this summer in what is to be Jurgen Klopp’s biggest overhaul yet at Anfield, and signing Gravenberch for cheap could be an excellent first move for the German coach, who could work his magic in getting a good deal.
