Jurgen Klopp reportedly views Athletic Club superstar Nico Williams as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, with the Spanish international a target for Liverpool this summer.
According to El Mundo, the 20-year-old attacker is a target for numerous Premier League clubs, with Aston Villa and Wolves chasing Williams following on from a breakout season for the Basque-born wonderkid, though Liverpool are also firmly in the mix.
As per the report, Klopp has a long-term vision to replace Salah with Williams if Liverpool can win the race to sign the youngster, who is believed to have a release clause worth €50m (£43m), a transfer fee the Reds might not be willing to pay this summer.

Indeed, defence and central midfield are already proving to be Liverpool’s main transfer priority, and there could be a reluctance from the Anfield transfer board to sign another attacker having signed Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo in the last two transfer windows.
However, with Williams a talent who has been labelled as ‘unstoppable’, signing the versatile attacker this summer could be the only chance Liverpool gets to land the forward, who might be picked up by a Premier League rival in the upcoming transfer market.
Liverpool should risk it this summer to sign Williams as Salah’s successor

Few players in world football have the quality or potential to replicate what Salah has done at Liverpool, yet Williams could be safe bet for the Reds, with the Spanish youngster on course to become one of the best forwards in world football at his current pace.
Although Liverpool have to address midfield and defensive issues in the squad this summer, Williams could be too good an options in the window to turn down with other Premier League clubs interested in the Athletic star, with £43m more than reasonable for the Reds’ target.
