Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, according to the Evening Standard.
As per the report, both the Reds and Manchester City are expressing a desire to land the 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Brighton.

The West London club want to extend the youngster’s deal, which is set to expire in 2025.
Colwill doesn’t want to undergo another loan spell, so the Seagulls will also have to try and sign him on a permanent deal this summer if they are to keep him.
Liverpool interested in Colwill
Liverpool are hoping to exploit the threats hanging over Chelsea’s head, as the club could be forced into a fire sale of young players to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
Having spent more than £600m in the last two transfer windows, the Blues may have to cash-in on homegrown stars in order to avoid breaching UEFA’s regulations.
This could also apply to Mason Mount, who has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent months.

Colwill would be a brilliant addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad, as the Reds are in desperate need of an additional defender.
Having been compared to Chelsea legend John Terry, the youngster’s ceiling is extremely high – meaning Liverpool could get up to a decade out of his services.
