Bayern Munich are reportedly weighing up the option of selling Sadio Mane after a recent clash with Leroy Sane after a 3-0 loss in the UEFA Champions League to Manchester City.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the former Liverpool winger will face consequences from the Bayern board after a physical altercation with the German winger this week in the dressing room, with the prospect of Mane being sold seemingly on the table.

The 31-year-old only joined Bayern this summer have been sold by Liverpool in the transfer window in a deal that many tipped to be one of the best. However, Mane’s time in Bavaria has not gone to plan, and this latest incident could be massive in the forward’s future at the club.

Given the severity of the incident that has been reported, in which Mane is believed to have punched Sane in the face according to Sky Sports News, there’s a strong chance that Bayern will deliver the ultimate punishment to the former Liverpool man in the coming days, that being a potential sale.

Few could have predicted Mane’s time with Bayern to unravel in such a manner, yet with the winger now set to apologise to the entire team and a sale potentially now on the cards, it’s been a disaster of a season at the highest degree for the former Liverpool hero.

Whilst the chances of Bayern selling Mane are still rather low, the fact that the option is even on the table is extraordinary, to say the least. And if the winger can’t smooth things out with his teammates, the forward could again be on the move having just arrived from Anfield.
