Renato Sanches is reportedly unhappy with the amount of playing time the PSG midfielder has received in recent weeks, with the news coming amid rumours that Liverpool are interested in the 25-year-old.

According to L’Equipe, the former LOSC Lille star has complained to PSG coaches about his lack of minutes this season, with Sanches failing to make much of an impact for the Ligue 1 giants despite reuniting with Christophe Galtier in the French capital.

The pair won the title in 2021 and many expected Sanches to replicate his form for Lille in PSG colours this season. However, the midfielder has become nothing but a squad player in Paris, and a summer move could now be on the cards, with Liverpool reportedly interested.

According to 90min, the Reds are one of multiple Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Sanches’ situation, and amid this recent update from France, there’s now a growing sense that the former Benfica wonderkid could now be set to leave PSG after just one year at the club.

Indeed, an unhappy player has the potential to make a transfer from the club as quick as possible, and with Sanches now in such a situation at PSG, Liverpool’s chances of bringing the midfielder to Anfield have just grown stronger ahead of the summer window.

Sanches being unhappy at PSG is perhaps no real bombshell given how few minutes the midfielder has played for the club this season, yet for Liverpool, the Reds should take full advantage of this situation by looking to make an early bid to bring the 25-year-old to Merseyside.

The former Bayern Munich man has all the qualities needed to thrive for Liverpool in the midfield, and with Jurgen Klopp’s side keen to overhaul the position, Sanches could be a fantastic first addition to such a project, with the Portuguese star perfect for the German manager’s system.
