Juventus reportedly believe that Arthur Melo will be impossible to sell this summer after his poor loan spell at Liverpool, where the midfielder has hardly featured.

According to CalcioMercato, the Brazilian maestro could be ‘unsellable’ for Juventus in the upcoming transfer market given on just how poor Arthur has been for Liverpool and how little the 26-year-old has featured for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

With a valuation of €31m (£27m), Juventus are already preparing to loan out Arthur in an attempt to get him off the wage bill for another season, though this prospect could also be difficult based on how little football the South American has played this season.

Arthur has managed just one singular appearance for Liverpool in all competitions, that coming off the bench in the Reds’ 4-1 loss to Napoli in the UEFA Champions League all the back at the start of the campaign, with the midfielder since spending the majority of the year out through injury.

Indeed, whilst Arthur has made the bench on a handful of Premier League games since making his return to from injury, a good argument could be made that the Brazilian’s time at Anfield is one of the worst loan spells in recent league history, with Juventus now in a battle to even sell the 26-year-old.

With just 13 minutes of senior football played all season, Arthur’s time with Liverpool has been a car crash, with the midfielder unlikely to feature again for the Reds as the Brazilian prepares to return to Juventus a broken man with a crushed spirit, where the Old Lady now face the challenge of trying to sell the Brazilian.

Whilst the task isn’t impossible, Juventus might have to accept that they won’t find any bidders willing to match their £27m asking price, with a loan more likely for the South American talent as Liverpool will be looking to forget that Arthur was even at the club for the season.
