Ian Wright believes Arsenal have the quality to beat Liverpool at Anfield after a string of poor performances from the Reds in the Premier League.
Speaking on Wrighty’s House, the pundit was unimpressed with what he saw from Jurgen Klopp’s side against City last Saturday, with Wright comparing the defeat to that of an old boxing champion stepping into the right only to get knocked down in the end.
As a result, the Arsenal legend is now confident that the Gunners can get a result at Anfield, a ground the north London side have not won at since 2012, a game that Mikel Arteta featured in as Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla secured a 2-0 win.

With Arsenal now going for the title and Liverpool ten points off fourth-place, there has never been a better time for the Gunners to face Klopp’s side. And for Wright, the Premier League leaders have the quality and the confidence to go to Anfield and to claim another historic result this season.
Wright said on Arsenal’s chances of beating Liverpool: “It’s so exciting. With what’s going on at Liverpool, it’s the time to attack them and get them to answer some questions. I know we’re going to have a period in that game where if Liverpool are not at it, we’re probably going to score a couple of goals.”
Wright’s Arsenal prediction can come true this weekend against Liverpool

Liverpool were sufficiently outplayed against City last weekend and were arguably lucky to come away from Chelsea on Tuesday night with a clean sheet. And with the leaders coming to town, the Reds will have to put on the performance of the season to keep Arsenal at bay.
The Gunners have been in outrageous form this season, with Arteta’s side heading to Anfield this weekend on a seven-game winning streak, and for Liverpool, there is a real chance that the Reds could lose their incredible record against the north London side at Anfield if they fail to bring their A-game.
